RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with immediate start date available
• Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Experience with EPIC EMR system required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish care priorities
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans within established timeframes
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient evaluations and modify care plans accordingly
• Participate in patient/family health education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team activities
• Function as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
• Maintain current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in work environment or schedule
• Maintain positive attendance and communicate absences in advance
