RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) with 2 rooms and specialized cardiac surgery equipment
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio for optimal care delivery
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications with 2 years current experience in acute OR setting
• Required to scrub and be proficient in all service lines
• Rotating weekends may be required
• On-call responsibilities split based on staffing needs (2 RNs/1 tech on call)
• Work with advanced equipment including Impella, ECMO, Bypass pump, Laser (lead extraction), EVH, and Rapid Transfuser
• Document using Meditech system
• Perform procedures including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery
• Must function in all surgical specialties other than CVOR (robotics, orthopedic, spine, gynecology)
• Responsible for observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient care
• Demonstrate proficient charting, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and excellent bedside manner
• OR scrubs provided by the unit
