Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (day and night shifts available)
• Float pool position covering ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation
• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
• At least 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to interpret cardiac strips
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-cardiac catheterization patients, post-MI patients, and CABG post-op patients
• Unit assignments provided 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Standby requirement when excessive staffing occurs
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 24 hours of unit-specific orientation
• Solid color professional scrubs required (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
