RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work in 2 OR Surgical Suites specializing in cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 Techs with 2:1 patient ratios
• On-call requirements approximately every other day and every other weekend
• Night shift operates on call basis
• Must have ACLS, BLS certifications and 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting
• Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred
• Work with open heart instrumentation and supplies, TEE equipment, and ultrasound
• Document using Meditech system
• Perform typical procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, endovascular procedures, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips
• May provide lunch relief in vascular, robotics, general, ortho, neuro/spine, urology, podiatry, thoracic surgery and plastic surgery service lines
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical procedures
• Ensure sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available, record surgical progress and outcomes
• Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times
• Scrubs provided by facility
