RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU setting for patients with heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress, and other severe medical conditions
• Assess patient conditions and develop comprehensive care plans
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support interventions
• Assist physicians with medical procedures and treatments
• Monitor and record patient vital signs continuously
• Operate and adjust medical equipment including ventilators, monitors, and IABP devices
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications as prescribed
• Perform suctioning and other respiratory care procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary critical care team members
• Respond to life-saving emergencies using established nursing protocols
• Serve as patient advocate and provide family education and support
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed
• Float to lower acuity units based on facility census requirements
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:6
• Must have 3 years recent RN ICU experience in acute care or LTAC facility
• Required experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, wound care, and central lines
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Texas RN or multi-state RN license required
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer
• Expedited checklist process will be utilized
