Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• Rotating holiday schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• No call or standby requirements
• Rare floating only to other medical/surgical units if needed
• Navy scrub color required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score or face termination
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• EPIC charting system
• Must titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN
• Telemetry monitoring with RNs responsible for noticing strip changes
• Charge nurse and house supervisor responsibilities
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Focus on medical/surgical patients with specialty in post-operative cancer interventions
• Must demonstrate good communication, accurate documentation, timeliness, and patient-centered care
