Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• Float to Medical Surgical or Emergency Room for 1:1 patient care when needed
• 4-bed ICU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3 depending on patient acuity
• Care for patients with DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, and medical detox cases
• Manage arterial lines and central venous pressure monitoring
• Required to titrate drips typical to ICU settings
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators
• No charge nurse assignment - Emergency Room manages ICU operations
• No nursing assistants or patient care technicians on unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR or trauma patient care experience
• Must pass fit testing requirements for respiratory protection equipment
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• BSN degree not required
• Must demonstrate coachability, motivation, ability to identify unsafe situations, and teamwork skills

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
