Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement is negotiable
• Maximum patient ratios: 1 RN to 4-5 patients on days, 1 RN to 5 patients on nights
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Oregon license NOT required at time of submittal - can apply for OR 90 Day Emergency License
• BSN not required
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Unit/department specific orientation: 3-6 shifts, longer if needed
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Care for patients with CHF, diabetic complications and wounds, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, hip fractures, and post-operative patients
• May care for general pediatric patients as well
• Infrequent titration of drips including Heparin and Bumex
• If placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call
• Floating requirements: assist as "helping hands" if not fully cross-trained, option to fully cross-train to other departments
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
Facility:
This acute care hospital features a 19-bed medical-surgical unit with excellent staffing ratios and comprehensive support services. The facility maintains charge nurses and house supervisors on both day and night shifts, with telemetry monitoring provided by CCU staff. The unit is equipped with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow systems, and provides support from 1-3 CNAs on day shifts and 1 CNA on night shifts.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
