Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2-week block schedule created by management with night shifts grouped 3-4 in a row when possible
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be included in holiday rotation if it falls on regularly scheduled shift
• 4-bed ICU unit with 1:2 nurse to patient ratio
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC and PALS preferred)
• ICU experience required - will accept first-time travelers
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Propofol, Levophen, Dobutamine, Precedex, Fentanyl, Insulin, Esmolol, Versed, and Ketamine
• Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips using Mindray monitoring system
• Float requirements to IMCU, Med-Surg, or ED (with prior ED experience) - may take full patient assignment
• Work with patients experiencing DKA, septic shock, ETOH withdrawal, hypoxemia, acute respiratory distress
• Any color scrubs allowed
• 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
• No call or standby requirements
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required

This 40-bed community hospital operates as a Level 4 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility features a combined ICU, IMCU, and Medical-Surgical unit on the same floor with shared resources and collaborative care teams. The hospital maintains 24/7 hospitalist coverage and weekday intensivist support with telemedicine backup, along with respiratory therapy and monitoring technician services to ensure quality patient care in a community hospital setting.
