Description

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (day and night shifts available)
• Float pool assignment across multiple units: ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses
• May include inpatients holding in Emergency Department
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday schedule included in permanent staff rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• At least 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to interpret cardiac strips
• Notification of unit assignment via text message 2 hours prior to shift start
• Travel between campuses required (20-25 minutes distance)
• Standby requirement when excessive staffing occurs
• Must be flexible with scheduling as scheduler creates float pool assignments
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op patients
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
• Solid color professional scrubs required (transitioning to navy scrubs in October)
• Use Cerner charting system
• 32-hour orientation: 8-hour general hospital orientation, 12-hour shift at West MedTele, and 12-hour shift at PCU

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
