Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Night shifts available with every other weekend requirement
• Work 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 48-bed telemetry unit (4A and 4B)
• First to float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips at least once per shift
• Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA required
• Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
• Work with equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
• Handle set rate Diltiazem drips (no titration required)
• Work alongside nurse aides (1:10-15 ratio), charge nurses, and remotely monitored telemetry
• Four-week self-scheduling system with manager balancing
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
• No call or standby requirements

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
