Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or night shift (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for day shift
• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
• Multi-care unit with variable patient ratios based on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg with strong skills from larger facilities
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Care for medical ICU patients with diagnoses including sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, and post-op complications
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitors
• Float to other units including EC MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU patients
• May be placed on standby rotation during low census periods
• Any scrub color permitted except camouflage
• Chart using Cerner system
• BSN not required
