Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU specialty experience required, travel experience preferred
• Must be able to titrate all common drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• May float to medical-surgical/telemetry side of unit
• Steel gray scrub color requirement
• 2-day unit-specific orientation
• Self-scheduling used but balanced by manager
• Block scheduling allowed but not guaranteed
• Use MEDITECH 6.0 charting system
• Care for patients with DKA, sepsis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, minor surgical cases, and small bowel obstructions
• Work with respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP
• BSN not required

This community hospital operates a 22-bed acuity care unit that combines ICU, medical-surgical/telemetry, and LDRP services on one floor. The facility provides comprehensive acute care services with manager coverage Monday through Friday and house supervisor support during nights and weekends. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support critical care patients while fostering a collaborative environment between nursing staff and support personnel.
