Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required (Friday/Saturday for night shift)
• Holiday coverage as scheduled and needed
• BSN degree required
• 2 years of previous ER experience in similar size/volume emergency department required
• Previous travel experience required
• Previous EPIC experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CEN, TCRN, CPEN
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, natural hair colors only
• Distasteful tattoos must be covered
• 1-2 twelve-hour shift orientation depending on experience
• No floating between units
• Block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• Handle typical emergency department cases including motor vehicle crashes, STEMI and stroke patients, overdoses, behavioral health patients
• Work with various ventilator equipment including Servo U, Hamilton G5, Transport Vent Hamilton T1
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Perform lab draws and handle trauma cases with stabilization and transfer protocols

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 40 beds including 2 trauma bays, 7 rapid medical exam beds, and 2 psychiatric/seclusion rooms. The facility averages approximately 120 patients per day and features a fast track unit open from 11 AM to 11 PM (or 1 AM) staffed by physicians, PAs, and nursing staff. The emergency department maintains 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy with Omnicell system, and serves as a STEMI and stroke center with cath lab and interventional radiology capabilities. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care with helipad access for patient transport and maintains modern equipment and technology to support emergency medical services.
