Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM for day shift or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM for night shift
• Full-time schedule with every other weekend requirement and holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• BSN degree not required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Use EPIC EMR system for documentation
• Work with Phillips Cardiac Monitors and read strips every 4 hours
• Handle various cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, and Nitroglycerin
• Manage patients with elevated troponin, active chest pain, pre/post cardiac catheterization, STEMI, NSTEMI, peritoneal dialysis, pacers, and occasional post-surgical patients
• May float to ICU overflow, telemetry, or ortho/med-surg as needed
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, and natural hair color
• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 days depending on experience
• Submit schedule requests at least 2 weeks in advance through Kronos system
• Block scheduling available if specified in contract

The facility operates with 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services. The telemetry unit is equipped with advanced Phillips cardiac monitoring technology with central monitoring stations and hardwired room connections. The facility maintains comprehensive support services including monitor technicians, PCTs when fully staffed, and integrated Epic documentation systems that receive direct data feeds from monitoring equipment.
