Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Full-time position with every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotations required
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Open to first-time travelers
• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation based on experience
• Use Epic EMR system with Phillips Cardiac Monitors
• Read telemetry strips every 4 hours and document rhythm in patient chart
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, and Nitroglycerin
• May float to ICU overflow, telemetry, or ortho/med-surg units
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket and white or navy undershirt
• Natural hair colors only and distasteful tattoos must be covered
• Care for patients with elevated troponin, active chest pain, pre/post cardiac catheterization, post-STEMI recovery, NSTEMI, peritoneal dialysis, pacers, and occasional post-surgical patients
• 20-bed unit with all private rooms on 2nd floor
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
