Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Travel experience required
• Work on 1E - MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit with 18 beds (all private rooms due to infectious diseases)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 or 1:4 if COVID patients
• Care for patients with infectious diseases including isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and other infectious conditions
• Must have strong knowledge in MedSurg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions
• Manage Heparin and typical MedSurg IV medications, antibiotics (no cardiac drips)
• Remote telemetry monitoring from 3rd floor - RNs do not read or interpret strips
• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow oxygen equipment managed by respiratory therapy
• Every-other-weekend requirement (nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday; days: Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
• First to float to any MedSurg units or telemetry within skillset
• May be called off for low census depending on contract
• Royal blue scrub dress code required
• Two-day orientation: one day EPIC training, one day floor orientation with preceptor, third day independent
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Must provide unexpired copy of driver's license with submission
• BSN not required
