Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement or as needed based on unit needs
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit facilities
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Manager creates schedule based on unit needs
• Work in 34-bed Med Surg ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 ICU
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old
• Manage patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, and post-surgical patients
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Work with various equipment including ventilators, CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ICP monitoring
• Charge nurse available on each shift and attends rapid response teams and codes
• Use EPIC charting system
