Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with day/night rotation
• Must be on unit ready to go by 6:45 AM/PM
• Weekend requirements: work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday/Saturday/Sunday considered weekend shifts)
• Night shift staff work straight nights; day shift staff must work minimum 3 night shifts per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratios: goal is 1:4, typically 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Required to float to telemetry or medical-surgical units as needed with ratios up to 1:6 (possibly 1:7 in med-surg)
• Must be able to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Self-scheduling allowed when unit needs are met with 4 requested days off per month
• Manage patients with chest pain, rule out MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post cardiac catheterizations
• Handle radial band management and removal, groin checks, and Tikosyn therapy patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs top and bottom with navy scrub jackets, no hoodies
• Use Allscripts Sunrise EMR and Nihon Kohden telemetry monitors
• Two-day orientation: first day includes 4 hours HR and 8 hours on unit with preceptor, second day on unit with preceptor
• Must reside within 50-mile radius and provide copy of unexpired driver's license
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
