Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 nine-hour shifts per week or 4x10 hour day shifts
• Some weeknight call required approximately 10 times per month
• Weekend call required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) approximately every 3rd weekend
• Holiday call required but shared amongst staff - 1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday
• Call response time requirement of 30 minutes
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Cath lab experience required, IR experience or willingness to learn preferred
• Job duties include circulating and monitoring cases, pre and post procedure care, and patient calls
• Work with STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker patients, and IR patients in combined lab setting
• Use Epic EMR system, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
• Provided blue scrubs for dress code
• Orientation conducted over several days during the week following general hospital orientation
• No floating to other facilities required
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This acute care hospital operates a cardiac catheterization laboratory with 2 suites that handle approximately 4 cases per day, combining both cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. The facility maintains cardiologists in-house during day hours with on-call coverage overnight, providing comprehensive cardiac care services to the community. The cath lab is equipped with modern technology and maintains high standards for patient care in both emergency and scheduled cardiac procedures.
