Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week required
• Every other weekend requirement
• Work holidays as needed based on unit requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts
• Float to any Med Surg unit (will not float to ED or Behavioral Health)
• 1-2 shifts orientation with preceptor
• BLS (AHA) certification required, ACLS preferred
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge required with ability to recognize fatal rhythms
• Work with telemetry patients (monitored remotely)
• Administer IV drips including Heparin and Protonix (no titrating or cardiac drips)
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow
• Care for 35-bed unit that can expand to 42 beds (9 semi-private, 17 private rooms)
• Use Epic EMR system for documentation
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs, navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt
• Natural hair colors required, excessive tattoos must be covered
• Care for patients with altered mental status, cardiac conditions, renal issues, cancer, CVA, TBI, appendectomy, chest tubes, and wound care
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers must be gone for 2 years after completing 1 full year
