Description
Opportunity:
RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float pool position covering MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses
• First to float designation - assignments determined 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Must be able to interpret telemetry strips
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op day 3-4
• Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow in PCU
• Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time - flexibility required
• Dress code: solid color professional scrubs (changing to navy scrubs in October)
• 32-hour orientation including general hospital orientation and unit-specific training
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required
• No call or standby requirements

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
