Description
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Must work within strict 75-mile radius rule
• 2 years of specialty experience required - no first-time travelers
• Must be comfortable with fresh open hearts with experience within the past 12 months
• Required knowledge of balloon pumps and CRRT procedures
• Must be willing to float between ICU units (SICU, CCU, ICU) when CVICU census is low
• May float to 4AB stepdown unit or ED for task assignments
• Patient ratios: 1-2 patients depending on acuity; open heart patients require 1:1 ratio
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Dress code: forest green or white pants with white top
• Use Meditech 6.1 charting system
• Work with Draeger ventilators and standard ICU drips
• Handle high acuity cases including sepsis, DKA, pneumonia, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, post vascular procedures
• Must have strong ICU assessment skills and be well-rounded in medical, surgical, and cardiac experience
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling - assigned to primary unit with floating responsibilities

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
