Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float throughout Zone 4 covering a 60-mile radius from Garden City, KS
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Float between multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology post-surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine patients
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Preferred experience with neuro patients, Alaris pumps, and EPIC charting system
• Responsible for titrating heparin drips
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap
• Schedules created by leadership for 6-week periods with flexibility required to fill gaps
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census situations
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
