Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5-7 on days, 1:6-8 on nights
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS and RN License
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Floating requirements to other Med Surg, Med Surg-Telemetry, or IMC units for lower acuity patients
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• 2 days of orientation: 1 day educator/computer system, 1 day with preceptor
• Charting system: Cerner Corporation - Soarian
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness
• Required to titrate drips including heparin, Bumex, Lasix (no cardiac drip titration)
• Monitor respiratory equipment managed by RT including BiPap, CPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Work with nurse aids/patient care techs with ratios of 1:10-12
• Monitor techs read telemetry strips - RNs not required to interpret
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license with application
• 50-mile radius rule applies for all submissions
• BSN not required

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
