Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• May be placed in holiday rotation as needed
• 48-bed medical surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6-8 on night shifts
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and current RN license
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness
• Required to titrate certain drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration)
• Float to other medical surgical, medical surgical telemetry, or intermediate care units as needed
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner
• 2 days of orientation: 1 day with educator/computer system, 1 day with preceptor
• No call or standby requirements
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license with application
• Cancellation policy: Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
