Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 6:45-7:15 AM shift change
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend schedule requirement
• Rotate with permanent staff
• 2 years of experience required in specialty
• Must have experience with high acuity, high turnover, and fast-paced environment
• Experience at larger organizations required, no Critical Access Hospitals
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis overflow, post-surgical patients, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psychiatric patients
• Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• CPAP experience required, BiPAP only for night shifts
• Primary Care Nursing model
• Float to all acute care and cardio units as needed
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue top and bottom OR White top and Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white
• Strict attendance policy
• No bags allowed at nurses station
• Nails can only be polished - no artificial or shellac nails
• 3-day orientation
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Strict 75-mile radius rule
