Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirement includes working 4 weekend night shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday all considered weekend shifts)
• Must be on unit ready to go by 6:45 PM
• Patient ratios typically 1:5, goal is 1:4, occasionally could be 1:6
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must wear navy blue scrub top and bottom with navy scrub jackets (no hoodies)
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix
• Float to other units as needed (Tele or MedSurg) with ratios up to 1:6, possibly 1:7 in MedSurg
• Self-scheduling allowed as long as unit needs are met
• Staff allowed 4 requested days off per month
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license and comply with 50 mile radius rule
• Two-day orientation: first day 4 hours with HR and 8 hours on unit with preceptor, second day on unit with preceptor
• Use Allscripts charting system and Sunrise EMR
• Work with Nihon Kohden telemetry monitors
• Care for patients with chest pain, rule out MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post pacer, pre/post cardiac catheterizations, and Tikosyn therapy patients
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
