Description
Opportunity:
RN - PCU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week required with option to work 4 shifts per week at regular rates
• Two weekend shifts required per pay period
• Night shift positions available, first to float when needed
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• Minimum 1 year PCU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Active Arizona nursing license required in good standing
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on patient acuity
• Dress code requires navy scrubs and business appropriate hair color
• Float to ICU (preferred) and MS/Tele units as needed
• Provide acute care for cardiovascular and surgical services patients
• Work with patients post-catheterization, open heart surgery recovery, STEMI/NSTEMI cases
• Care for patients with chronic vents, chest tubes, epidural catheters, and arterial/venous sheaths
• Administer IV cardiac medications and manage peritoneal dialysis
• Work with Philips cardiac monitors, Cerner EMR, Pyxis medication dispenser, and various medical equipment
• Handle fast-paced cardiac care including alcohol withdrawal and suicidal ideation patients
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract, 3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
