Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• 1:2-3 nurse to patient ratio for adults
• 33-bed ICU unit with average daily census of 16 patients
• Care for patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
• Required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
• Must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using GE monitors
• May float to PCU or MedSurg with typical ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Work with respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must pass open book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% minimum score
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system used
• Driver's license required and must reside outside 50-mile radius
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
