Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with 35-bed unit capacity
• Every other weekend requirement and every third holiday
• No call or standby requirements
• Must maintain distance of 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Driver's license required at submittal
• BSN not required, but nursing license required for submission
• Pass/fail exam during orientation with 90% passing score required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes conditions
• Manage continuous EEG monitoring and titrate drips including Cardizem, betablockers, seizure medications
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
• Work with nurse aids/patient care techs at 1:10 or 2:20 ratios
• First week onboarding followed by 1-2 days floor orientation
• Use EPIC charting system
• Fast-paced environment requiring positive attitude, communication skills, and critical thinking
