Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM day shifts
• On-call requirements: 1 in 3 after hours, 1-2 nights during the week, every 3rd weekend
• Holiday call coverage on rotating basis for 6 recognized holidays
• Call response time: 20 minutes
• 1-2 weeks orientation for usual caseload with variable buddy on-call orientation
• Work in 1 endoscopy suite and 2 operating rooms
• Handle approximately 5 endoscopy cases per day Monday-Friday, 9 cataracts every other Wednesday, 3 scheduled c-sections per month, and 1-2 podiatry cases every Monday
• Common cases include endoscopy, c-sections, D&Cs, cataract extractions, podiatry, and resterilization of surgical instruments
• Scrubbing skills or willingness to learn preferred
• Cross-training to perform all OR tech roles
• Floating requirements to admission/discharge side for outpatient IV therapy, wound dressing changes, and blood product transfusions when no surgical cases
• 2 years experience preferred but not required
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Endoscopy and c-section experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred)
• BSN not required
• Dress code: ceil blue scrubs provided by hospital or bring own ceil blue scrubs
• Charting system: MEDITECH 6
• Working OR supervisor and 24/7 house nurse coordinator on each shift
