Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 5 eight-hour day shifts with varied start times, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Float between PACU and Pre-op departments at two locations: Mercy Medical Center (MMC) and ORSC
• Handle both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery nursing
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Pre-op 1:2, PACU 1:1 or 1:3, Recovery 1:2 or 1:3
• Must have recent Meditech experience for EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms
• Care for patients undergoing general, GYN, orthopedic & sports medicine, hand specialist, podiatry, eye, ENT, and endoscopy procedures
• Handle 5-10 cases per day at MMC and 15-30 cases at ORSC
• Work with 6 ORs and 4 endoscopy suites total
• No weekend, night, holiday, or call requirements
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Orientation includes general orientation, scavenger hunt, 1-2 days with preceptor, and assigned buddy until comfortable
• Schedule flexibility required to fill gaps in permanent staffing
• Oregon license not required at time of submission; facility willing to request 90-day emergency license
• BSN not required
