Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Night shifts with weekend requirements as scheduled
• Every other weekend requirement for travelers
• Patient ratio averages 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and be comfortable with cardiac patients
• Care for post heart catheterization patients, CHF, COPD, post pacemaker patients, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Required to titrate Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
• Must perform EKGs when needed and assist with patient admissions and discharges
• Float to other units within skill set as part of rotation
• Self-scheduling allowed with block schedules accommodated when unit needs are met
• Orientation includes 1 day computer training and 1 day floor shadowing with preceptor
• Fast-paced environment with approximately 8-12 discharges and admissions per day
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must provide unexpired copy of driver's license with submission
• Royal blue scrubs required (scrub jackets optional but must be actual scrub jackets)
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required
