Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekend assignments as scheduled
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday schedule approximately every other holiday
• 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in 18-bed Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU)
• Care for typical stepdown patients including post-MI with sheath pull, AFIB, postop vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
• Required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin up to 150mcg/kg/min, Neo up to 100mcg/min, and Cardene up to 10mg/hr
• Telemetry monitoring on all patients with RNs responsible for reading strips
• Work with RT equipment including BiPap and CPAP
• One Patient Care Technician (PCT) available per shift for support
• Charge nurse available and typically does not take patient assignment under normal circumstances
• House supervisor available for support
• Float to other units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Royal scrubs dress code required
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• No call or standby requirements
• 2 shifts cancellation policy per 13-week contract
• Unit-specific orientation provided
