Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Must float within Zone 4 (60-mile radius from Garden City, KS)
• Float between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
• Float between Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients (CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.)
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience minimum
• First-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Must assist in troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs
• Work with ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Rare call/standby requirement for low census
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• BSN not required
• One week of orientation required (must be in state for orientation week)
