Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday shifts when needed
• Must pass open book exam with 90% score during orientation or face termination
• Required certifications: BLS (required), ACLS (preferred)
• Must be able to read basic cardiac rhythms
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Artificial nails are prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Driver's license required for submittal to verify 50-mile radius compliance
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
• Orientation includes first week in classroom followed by 2 twelve-hour floor shifts
• Float to Inpatient Rehab unit, Skilled Nursing unit, and Progressive Care Unit as needed
• Care for patients with joint replacements, neuro-surgicals, GI surgicals, oncology, and general medical conditions
• Manage PCAs and perform hourly rounding with bedside shift reports
• Use EPIC charting system
• Fast-paced environment with fluctuating census requiring flexibility and teamwork
