Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Call requirements include 1-2 weekdays per week and one weekend call rotation every 4th weekend
• Holiday call rotation may be required
• 30-minute response time required for call situations with 4-person team (2 RNs, 2 Cardiovascular techs)
• Must have 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Prior exposure to IR and peripheral vascular cases required
• Experience with impellas, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, roto equipment required
• Must be comfortable with conscious sedation and airway management
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule)
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Perform pre-admission and post-care in holding areas, procedural nursing in lab, and PICC line insertion
• Handle cardiac procedures including PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, pacemaker implants, vascular cases, IR procedures, mediports, dialysis catheter placements, and AAA stenting
• Work with GE MacLab equipment (switching to Phillips Xper in 2025)
• 2-3 shifts of orientation with preceptor provided
• Royal blue scrubs provided
• No floating requirements
• Use Cerner charting system

Facility:

This medical center features a comprehensive cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology department with 2 cath lab/IR suites, 1 hybrid room, and 7 holding rooms. The facility handles approximately 16 cases per day and provides 24-hour on-call cardiology services. The department offers advanced cardiac and vascular procedures with state-of-the-art equipment and maintains a collaborative team environment with experienced cardiovascular technicians and supportive charge nurses.
