Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work 4 total weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday shifts worked into rotation based on unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICUs and all telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele)
• Travelers float first before permanent staff and may be required to float to Westgate campus
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN preferred)
• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred
• Will accept Level 2 experience from teaching/high acuity/large hospitals
• First time travelers accepted
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Strong IV skills required (no IV team available)
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit test
• Navy scrubs required
• Work with Phillips telemetry system and Cerner EMR
• Care for cardiac surgery recovery patients, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, ECMO, and other high-acuity cases
• Handle high number of bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz catheters, and epidurals
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
