Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Night shift preference with block scheduling accommodation when possible
• Float between ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU units across both campuses
• May include inpatients holding in Emergency Department
• Unit assignments communicated 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Travel between campuses required (20-25 minutes distance)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• At least 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret telemetry strips
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op patients
• Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
• Standby requirement when excessive staffing occurs
• Holiday rotation included with permanent staff
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Use Cerner charting system
• Dress code: Solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 24 hours of unit-specific training

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
