Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3 for adult patients
• Care for 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients
• Manage patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications as required
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitoring equipment with documentation requirements
• Operate respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators with troubleshooting responsibilities
• Float to PCU or occasionally MedSurg units maintaining typical ratios (1:4 or 1:5)
• Work every other weekend with minimum of 2 holidays during contract timeframe
• Complete 1 shift of unit-specific orientation
• Document in EPIC charting system
• Pass mandatory open-book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score requirement
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must maintain valid driver's license and reside outside 50-mile radius
• Artificial nails prohibited - removal required for patient care departments
• RTO must be requested upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
