Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• 40-bed unit with average daily census of 24 patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be competent in arterial lines
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Floating required to Med/Surg or ICU for PCU acuity patients
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 1 day of unit-specific orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, respiratory issues, stroke, post stent, and post pacer placement
• Work with high flow respiratory equipment
• Use EPIC charting system
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Pass/fail exam required during orientation with 90% passing score
• Maximum 4 shifts can be cancelled per 13-week assignment
