Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float pool position covering MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses including inpatients holding in ED
• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to signing contract
• Minimum 1 year PCU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret telemetry strips
• Unit assignments communicated 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Travel between campuses required (20-25 minutes distance)
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op patients
• Work with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code: Solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
• Orientation includes 8-hour general hospital orientation, 12-hour shift at West MedTele, and 12-hour shift at PCU
• Charting system: Cerner
• Included in permanent staff holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
