Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float to all inpatient units based on competency including ICU, Step-down, and medical/surgical units
• Patient ratios vary by unit: Med/Surg 1:6, Step-down 1:4-5, ICU 1:2-3
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday coverage if needed
• No call requirement, but standby may be required if census is low
• Call staffing office daily for unit assignment
• Care for cardiac patients, orthopedic/neurological, surgical, and medical patients varying by unit
• Med/Surg background required with Step-down experience preferred
• Titrate drips in step-down areas including Heparin, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and other cardiac medications
• Work with telemetry monitoring with monitor techs available
• Utilize CPAP and BiPAP on all units, ventilators in ICU, chronic trach vents on step-down
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must submit driver's license with current permanent address
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 3-4 shift orientation provided
• Chart in EPIC system
• BSN not required but West Virginia nursing license required for submission
