Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with set rotation (weekends 1 and 3 or weekends 2 and 4)
• Holiday rotation with core staff based on previous year's schedule
• Block scheduling allowed when unit needs are met
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 on 32-bed telemetry unit
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Med-Surg and telemetry experience required, travel experience required
• Critical drips experience required, chemo experience preferred
• Must be able to titrate drips including Nitro, Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, and Dopamine
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiopulmonary diagnoses (CHF, chest pain, post cardiac cath)
• May be asked to serve as charge nurse with modified patient assignment (2 patients)
• Floating requirements to other Med-Surg units or Emergency Department for boarded patients
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color, no embroidery/patterns), closed-toe shoes only, no crocs
• Work with IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximeters, specialty beds, telemetry, CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen
• Two 12-hour orientation shifts with preceptor and abbreviated initial skills checklist
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
