RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• First to float to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Room for 1:1 patient assignments
• 4-bed ICU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3 depending on patient acuity
• Care for patients with DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, medical detox, arterial lines, and CVP monitoring
• Required to titrate drips typical to ICU setting
• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Work with respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators
• No nursing assistants or patient care technicians on unit
• ER charge nurse oversees ICU operations
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR or trauma care experience
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted upfront for 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
