Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday shifts as needed to meet unit needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 on 33-bed unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• First week classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour floor shifts
• Care for young adults through geriatrics with conditions including sepsis, STEMI, CHF, chest pain, stroke, renal failure, COPD, DKA, and complex medical issues
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, IV antibiotics, and Insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips
• Work with RT equipment including BiPAP and Airvo
• May float to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care units
• Use EPIC charting system
• Handle busy patient flow with admissions and discharges within same shift
• Participate in bedside report and hourly rounding
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
