Opportunity:

IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) - IR Tech

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts per week with call and late shifts required
• On-call requirements include 1-2 shifts per week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend
• Possible holiday call required with 30-minute callback time
• Two years experience in Cardiac/Vascular Interventional Lab required
• Must be proficient in two or more specialties as defined by the department
• Vascular experience preferred
• Cover both vascular and neuro interventional procedures
• Required certifications: ARRT(R), BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA)
• Must provide own radiation badge through agency
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work with Canon equipment in Body/Vascular IR Rooms and Siemens Artis Q and Siemens Iconos in Neuro rooms
• Use GE ultrasound equipment in all rooms
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic monitoring
• Observe sterile technique while assembling supplies
• Prepare entry sites using sterile technique
• Continuously monitor patient ECG and blood pressure with documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergent procedures 24 hours a day
• Act as laboratory code team initiating resuscitative measures under physician supervision
• Document all procedures and participate in inventory management
• Maintain specialization in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR procedures
• Chart in EPIC system
• Acute care setting
