Description
Opportunity:
RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float between multiple units including MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses and inpatient ED holds
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements include participation in permanent staff rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• Must be flexible with scheduling as float pool scheduler creates schedule published 6 weeks out
• Notified of unit assignment 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Distance between campuses is 20-25 minutes
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Must interpret telemetry strips independently
• At least 1 year PCU experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Work with geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, and CABG post-op patients
• Use Cerner charting system
• Dress code: solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU units

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
