Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Agency RN positions posted as weekend positions
• Work on 29-bed flex unit serving both floor and stepdown patients based on patient and hospital needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 3:1 for stepdown patients, 6:1 for med-surg patients
• Serve diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses
• Titrate various drips including heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, morphine/dilaudid/fentanyl PCAs, and TPN
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and ventilators
• Remote telemetry surveillance center available - RNs not required to read their own strips
• Expect to work approximately half of all recognized holidays
• No call or standby requirements
• Subject to floating to other floor/stepdown units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required - open to new and experienced nurses
• Dress code: Any combination of royal blue and white scrubs
• Electronic charting system: EPIC
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for shorter assignments

This healthcare facility is expanding its stepdown services with a newly constructed 29-bed unit opening in the first quarter of 2026. The facility maintains 24/7 charge RN and house supervisor coverage, with clinical associates providing additional patient support. The organization utilizes modern technology including Phillips telemetry monitoring equipment and remote surveillance centers to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
